Cameo 4 compatible Universal Pen Holder

The 3D FunPrintz Universal Pen Holder is now available for the Cameo 4 and Portrait 3 machine.
The holder takes most pens that are 12.4mm diameter and smaller. Many, many types of pen work brilliantly and easily (over a hundred), including Fine (Standard) and Extra Fine Sharpies. It also holds pens with non cylindrical barrels, such as hexagonal and triangular opening up drawing options even further.
A clip on, hands free tool allows easy setting of the pen nib to the correct depth. Just clip it on, push the pen into the small recess on the tool and tighten the cap.
The holder does not have the metal plate that the Cameo 4 uses to detect the fitted tool but it currently works just fine without it. In the event that the plate becomes required by a later firmware update the holder has a ready made recess to allow you to fit the plate from the blue adapter that comes with your Cameo 4. Just slide it out of the blue adapter and fit it to the universal pen holder with double sided craft tape for a removable fit or a drop of superglue for a permanent fit. The recess is sized to fit the plate perfectly.
The holder comes with 2 calibration clip tools as standard.

Great little accessory
The white Cameo pen was far from ideal and didn't work a lot of the time so I was looking for an attachment to use other pens with the cameo and found this. Though not very cheap, no doubt because of the smaller 3D print run, I found it well worth it in the end. I ordered some white Uni-Ball pens and after a bit of testing and adjustment, this works perfectly and I hope it will for a long time to come. I ended up putting the pen in a bit shallower than indicated and used force 2 and speed 3 with one pass and the result was perfect. Definitely worth adding this tool!
The Best!
I've tried a variety of Cameo 4 pen holders and this is the best on the market. It allows you to use a variety of pens and it also makes it easy to adjust pen depth. I haven't found any other pen holder with these capabilities. I have changed pens hundreds of times and plotted for hours and the holder is still working (even though it's covered in ink and paint-but that's my fault). I should also mention that I had a small problem where an order I placed was somehow lost in shipping and 3D Funprintz replaced it quickly and without any hassle at all. Very satisfied customer.
I'M IN LOVE!!!
I live in the US and am always skeptical when it comes to international shopping but 3Dfunprintz has changed all of that because from the moment I saw the YouTube video for this adapter I knew I had to have it ASAP....lol and threw caution to the wind and ordered it. Shipping was surprisingly fast may I even say faster than other things I have ordered right here in the US. Now onto the quality of the adapter itself and the functionality of it. The adapter is very well made and I feel that for what I spent was well worth it. Very durable and doesn't look like cheap plastic. Two thumbs up for the genius(es) behind this product. I have a Cameo 4 Pro and the adapters from Silhouette did not allow me to use markers like a Sharpie that has a big barrel. This adapter is perfect for really any pens or markers (I have Sharpie FP & UFP, Dollar tree Markers, Crayola, Tombow dual brush, Cricut pens and also infusible ink) it worked on all of them. You will have to play with the settings to apply just the right amount of pressure but I feel that that's the norm for all tools. Do not waste your money on any other universal adapter....BUY THIS ONE!! You'll be happy u did. My only regret is that I didn't buy the Cameo 4 Bundle (so so sad) I hope that this review was helpful .
